Welcome to our Home Page and we hope you find our offerings exciting and well priced. We have 8 tour options in our CUSTOM DORDOGNE & LOT TOURS selection, all of which can be customized to fit your specific needs, from 3 - 13 nights.  They are fully-supported including baggage transfer, but you are on your own each day. All, as the name implies, are in the Dordogne or Lot or both regions of southwest France. It has some of the finest bicycling in the world and a great spectrum of attractions - and it is also our home, and we know every back road and the very best places to stay and eat. Gourmet Vegan, Vegetarian and traditional French Cuisine menu options are always available. Our eight tour itineraries, in this amazing region of France, are always open May through October. 2008/9 Custom Dordogne & Lot Tours - available May through October

Create your own tour, personalized for you. Your tour is self-guided but fully supported in the amazing Dordogne and Lot regions of Southwest France, some of the finest cycling in the world. A wonderful way to go, good for families or groups of friends, or a "honeymoon" with just the two of you. You choose your tour schedule, itinerary and accommodations. In 2008 and 2009 we have 8 tour options, including new Get Away 3, 4, 5 & 6 night options for our one and two hotel Loop Tours.  We have two new aggressive options for our Dordogne & Lot tours as well and an all new 14 Day 13 Night option. All can be customized to fit your specific needs. Just call or email and we can help you create the perfect cycling holiday in the world's best cycling region!  3, 4, 5 night, 6 night, 7 night, 10 & 13 nights, just waiting for you to customize. Each tour is priced using great, but reasonably priced places, with outstanding food! You may choose to have less dinners included, lower price options including B&B (Chambre d’Hote in French terms), or can upgrade to all 4 star level. The Dordogne and Lot have it all, plus amazing prehistory sites like Lascaux, Pech Merle and Villars to name a few, plus medieval fortresses high on the cliffs overlooking the beautiful river valleys of the region, the Dronne, Vezere, Dordogne and Lot.  Mention Dordogne to any Frenchman and they immediately respond "Oh the food, and the scenery, magnifique!". Marilyn and I love Provence, Italy and other areas of Europe, but the Dordogne is home and the best of all! The 8 basic options follow. Outfitter Bicycle Tours by Dick and Marilyn PowellA note from Dick & Marilyn: Bike touring has been our passion since we started taking bicycle vacations in 1972.  We had our first bike vacation in France in 1985 and that eventually led us to start Outfitter Bicycle Tours and Dordogne - Lot Tours in 1996.  We owned a professional bike store, The Bicycle Outfitter, in Los Altos, California, for 28 years, 1976 through August 2004, so we know bicycling. Bicycle vacations are now our entire focus, a dream come true. We even have a home in France where we live half the year, which allows us to really keep our tours fresh and on the low end of the price scale.
